Wildfires Festival.. tickets going fast!
Wildfires is a Christian festival where thousands of people from churches across the UK gather together for a few days to worship, encounter God, build community, and have a lot of fun. It takes place at the Wiston Estate in West Sussex and runs over several days in July. It’s honestly one of those moments in the year that people come back from changed, encouraged, and full of faith.
As a church, we go together and create our own community space called the Village Tent with other churches from the 24-7 Network, which becomes a real hub for hanging out, sharing meals, and building friendships throughout the weekend. It’s a brilliant way to feel part of something bigger, while still being rooted in our church family.
Now, if you’re already thinking, “Camping isn’t really my thing,” don’t worry, you’ve got options. You can absolutely come just for the day, or book an Airbnb or nearby accommodation and travel in. Loads of people do that, and it still feels like you’re fully part of everything.
Also, just to say, tickets are expected to sell out again this year, they did last year, so if you’re even thinking about coming, it’s really worth booking sooner rather than later so you don’t miss out.
A couple of practical things to keep in mind: meal tickets will be available soon to purchase, as well as signing up to help around the Village Tent. That’s a great way to serve and be part of making the whole experience happen.
And one really exciting thing is that this year young people (11-17s) can come even if their parents or carers aren’t attending, there’s a whole youth programme and community built around that, so it’s an amazing opportunity for them too. The young people can camp in a designated area on our Village site.

Whether you come for the whole time or just a day, it’s such a powerful space to encounter God and build great friendships, so we’d love to see loads of us there this year.
