Ways to give

We are so grateful to anyone who gives into the life of the church. There are a number of ways to give to support the ongoing work of Kerith Community Church.

give online
  • This is a simple way to give. You can give a one time gift or set up regular giving. Click here to give online.

  • This is our preferred method of giving if you intend to give regularly into the church.

To give via bank transfer or standing order through your bank, please make a one-off bank transfer or set up a regular standing order please use these details:

    Account Name: Kerith Community Church

Bank: HSBC, 26 Broad Street, Reading, Berks. RG1 2BU

    Account Number: 70001449

    Sort Code: 40-22-65

When giving via bank transfer and your gift is a general tithe or offering, please indicate this, together with which site you usually attend, so please use a reference such as ‘Offering Bracknell’ for example.

  • Each of our sites have contactless Giving Stations in which you can give via card, or you can give via cash via secure boxes at the Giving Stations.

  • However you choose to give, if you are a UK taxpayer, the Government’s Gift Aid programme enables you to boost the value of your donations by 25p for every £1 given. That means a £10 donation becomes £12.50, or a £100 donation becomes £125 and so on - at no additional cost to you. What a brilliant scheme!

If you haven’t already set this up, and you’d like to maximise your giving this way, please use this link to complete a Gift Aid Declaration, or to tell us that you are not a UK taxpayer.

For higher-rate taxpayers, you are also entitled to claim additional tax relief on your donations.

  • We have a “Give as you Live” account so when you shop online you’ll also be raising money to support our Revive projects. Click here to find out more and to set it up on your device, or visit www.giveasyoulive.com.

  • We have a full list of FAQs below. If you still have questions please email us at accounts@kerith.church

FAQs

  • We are grateful for any gifts into the church, however they come. However, we do prefer bank transfers (standing orders) for general giving (tithes). Giving to our specific ministries works best via online giving - click here to give online.

When giving via bank transfer and your gift is a general tithe or offering, please indicate this, together with which site you usually attend, so please use a reference such as ‘Offering Bracknell’ for example.

If you want to stop, or adjust your regular online giving, the easiest way to do this is to find one of your past donation acknowledgement emails from Kerith Community Church. There is a button at the bottom called ‘Manage Giving’ which will enable you to change it. If you are still struggling, then get in touch with our accounts team: accounts@kerith.church

    ‍ ‍

  • The church's financial year runs from January to December. By the following September, an annual audit of our accounts is performed by an independent accounting firm and submitted to both Companies House and the Charities Commission, where they become publicly available. Click here to see our most recently published Financial Accounts.

  • Please feel free to contact our accounts team via the ‘Ask us a Question’ section below, or simply email accounts@kerith.church.

Your Giving Journey…

We want to be really open about our finances at Kerith, you’ll experience that on a Sunday when we share the monthly finance update and at our vision nights.

If you are new to us we want all we do to be our gift to you but if you have made Kerith your home then we’d love you to go on the “Giving Journey” with us, which has 4 steps.

There are two chapters on finances in Simon’s book The Peach & The Coconut. You can listen to these chapters via our podcast page: Chapter on Money and Tithing (called ‘Treasure’).

  • Maybe you have never given into the life of the church before. You can give as a one-off via our online method, or you can give via our contactless giving points at each of our locations. If you carry cash, you’re welcome to drop cash into the giving post-boxes too.

  • A further step into generosity could be to move from giving now and then, to setting up a regular financial gift to the church. It is preferred for you to set up a standing order with your bank, but you can also set it up by clicking here

  • We hear about a principle in the Old Testament called ‘tithing’ - giving a 10th of your income. This idea could be a great next step for you if you are already giving regularly. You can increase your regular gift using your ChurchSuite account, or arranging it with your bank directly.

  • If you are already giving 10% but would like to give above that, it could be a good next step of your financial giving. Discuss with your loved ones and those you trust, and make arrangements with your bank directly to increase your giving.
