‘P’ is for…
Our building project is really gaining momentum at the moment. There are so many exciting things to get involved with, and a lot going on behind the scenes.
So - how can we all get involved?
PRAY
Please be praying!
Pray for favour with grant applications, pray for great relationships with contractors we are working with, and pray for our planning application process.
Be praying for God’s provision to come in miraclous ways!
Be thanking God for all that we have raised and given so far, for the favour we have already seen.
Please pray for us to hit our total of 55 people/households signed up to monthly giving. This is less about the amount we give each month but the long term commitment and investment from our community by signing up to monthly giving. It shows everyone that we are saying ‘I’m in for the journey’ - to one another, to the grant awarding bodies and other agencies. We believe we will reach our target of 55 really soon - if you’re planning to sign up to this and just haven’t got round to it yet, you can do by clicking here.
PARTICIPATE
In addition to praying and getting involved with regular giving to the project, you can also participate in other ways.
We have a building naming competition! Complete a card on a Sunday or fill in this form. We’d love to hear your ideas!
You can participate in the Twilight Runway Challenge on Saturday 20th September. The Twilight Runway Challenge is a fun, family-friendly event which takes place along the airstrip of Blackbushe Airport (once the flights have stopped landing!) to raise funds for local causes and charities. Sign up now to secure your place here and then ask your friends and family to sponsor you by sharing this JustGiving link with them. It’s a really accessible event for all ages and abilities and you can get round the 3k, 5k or 10k course in many different ways! (If paying the sign up fee is a barrier to your participation, please do speak to Nick Rudd on a Sunday - if you’re able to commit to a minimum sponsorship amount, we may be able help you with signing up).
We have some other shared fundraising things already being planned for 2026, including an auction & quiz night! But please - don’t just wait for us to organise ways you can participate! You can always fundraise for our building project by yourself, and in a group by linking your page to ours. PERSEVERE
We love the heart of our community where everyone is getting involved, but we realise it can sometimes feel like it’s a long journey ahead. But we have already come so far! We’ve raised an amazing amount of money so far and (as of writing) have 40 signed up to give monthly to the project. So, let’s pray, participate, and persevere.
With our shared participation and much prayer, we are going to get to our target. Remember how we began the year, saying to God, as Moses did, ‘Lord, if your presence does not go with us, please do not send us..’. In all the plans we have to renovate our building, we always want the presence of God to be a priority and for each of us to remain close to Him. So, keep praying, participating and perserving - and little by little, with His help, He will get us there!
