And We’re Off to a New Term: Bracknell Vision Sunday Recap
Thanksgiving, Celebration & Looking Ahead
This past Sunday was a powerful moment for our Kerith Bracknell family as we gathered to celebrate, reflect, and look ahead. Our Kerith Bracknell Vision Sunday reminded us of God’s faithfulness and reignited our passion for His presence and purpose. We kicked off with gratitude—marking one year of running two Sunday meetings again! With an average of 628 attendees and a peak of 711 on Easter, it’s clear this wasn’t just a good idea—it was a much needed God idea. Huge thanks to everyone who serves across Kids, Youth, Worship, Production, and Host teams on Sundays and across our midweek ministries and small groups. You make community happen!
We also celebrated progress on our Bracknell Building Fund: the lighting upgrade is complete, and we’ve raised about a third of the estimated £100K needed for sound improvements. Let’s keep giving generously!
Breathe IN, Breathe OUT
This year, we’ve been leaning into the rhythm of breathing in and out as a metaphor to experience and express God’s presence. Inspired by Acts 2, and the Early Church community we explored what it means to Breathe In: to gather together, pursue God’s presence, be filled with His Spirit, and grow through teaching, prayer, and fellowship.
These past couple of terms we’ve journeyed through sermon series like Ephesians, How to Hear God, ALIVE, Spirit Carriers, and God’s Guide to Getting Along. If you missed any, catch up on the podcasts!
What’s Ahead: Breathing OUT
This term, we shift focus to Breathe Out—living out our faith in community and mission. Acts 2:42–47 paints a picture of radical generosity and deep connection. We’re called to share what we have, build friendships, and serve with joy.
We’re also delighted to share the following upcoming initiatives, events and updates:
Midweek Connect launches 25 Sept: Thursdays at the Kerith Centre with coffee, small groups, Lectio, and lunch.
Welcome Scilla and Liz on to the Bracknell Site Office Team, and thanks to Alex for her season of volunteering to provide leadership and pastoral oversight of our Bracknell Worship bands.
Small Groups restart later this month. Preceding that is our Small Group Leaders Gathering on 9th September, led by our Bracknell Small Group Coordinators, Tom & Ida Astley. Look out for groups to join for the term and sign up to get connected!
Week of Prayer & Fasting: 5–10 Oct, ending with a Night of Worship and Half Night of Prayer on the 10th of October.
Talking about Christmas already? Watch this space as plans develop and are communicated for this term.
And whether you’re serving on Sundays (once in 4 weeks), joining a small group with a weekly rhythm, or praying for breakthrough—remember:
“Plan prayerfully, but prioritise the Presence of God above programs.”
As we journey into this new term and the coming year, let’s keep breathing in His Spirit and breathing out His love.
