Kids Ministry Changes This Summer

Around Easter this year, Heather Pocock began her maternity leave, which included setting down her role of overseeing all our sites’ youth and kids work in her capacity as Families Lead. During this transition, Jo Foster stepped in to cover the role. Jo has faithfully served for many years as our sites‑wide Kerith Kids Champion and as Bracknell Children’s Pastor. We’re excited to share that Jo, while continuing as Kerith Kids Champion across all sites, has more formally stepped into the Families Lead role overseeing all under‑18s ministry at Kerith. She has also now laid down her Bracknell Children’s Pastor role,

Jo has such a passion for children to be key members of church life and is passioonate to see the Holy Spirit working in and the through our children. We see in the office her dedication to our children's curriculum, equipping parents in our community to teach our children Biblical truths. Though no longer our Bracknell Children’s Pastor, we are very blessed to have her still providing oversight and working with the Families teams on this, so we don’t feel we are loosing her as Bracknell altogether — and Bracknell will still be where she and her family worship. However, to take up the role she has laid down, we are gaining a new member of the team!

We were successful in our quest to recruit a new Bracknell Children's Pastor to take on Jo’s role and we have actually been able to increase the days for this role too! This past Sunday we had the privilege of introducing Bekah Howard to you who will be working under Jo as the Bracknell site-specific Children's Pastor.

Bekah worked in both Oxford, and more recently Bracknell supporting children and families, so she brings a wealth of experience with her into the role. We are so excited that God has brought her to us… for such a time as this! She'll be working with us Tuesday to Friday + Sunday and keeping one day with Bracknell council on a Monday.

Join us in congratulating Jo and welcoming Bekah, praying with us for a successful transfer ready for September into their new roles.

We're looking forward to seeing all that God will do in and through them in this next season.
