More on the HK Visa conversation.

Dear Bracknell Community,

I love the variety in our Sunday gatherings!

2 weeks ago we focused on the heart of serving our community. (If you haven’t yet signed up for a serving slot, you can do that now via this link.)

Last Sunday, we turned our attention to a justice issue as we heard from members of our Hong Kong community about the potential changes to their visa status.

For those who were stirred during our time of prayer, I want to signpost you to some further reading and practical ways to take action.

1. Find out more

The Sanctuary Foundation (led by our friend Krish Kandiah) has some excellent resources, including a letter to the Home Secretary that explains more HERE, and another letter written to the government by Hong Kong Watch HERE.

2. Pray

We know our struggle is not against flesh and blood, so prayer is the most important way to see hearts and minds changed among those involved in decision-making around Hong Kong visas. Let’s commit to bringing this before God over the coming months as the government debates immigration changes ( this is the white paper under discussion), praying that biblical principles are upheld.

3. Show your support

Get to know our brilliant Hong Kong community at Kerith. Invite them into your homes, pray for them when you see them, and be curious about their stories — they carry powerful testimonies!
