The BIG Christmas Lunch this Sunday
This Sunday our 9:30 morning meeting will run as usual, but instead of the 11:30 meeting — whether you’re a regular at the 9:30 or at the 11:30 — we’ll all gather for a bring-and-share Christmas lunch in the auditorium.
This is a chance for our community to celebrate together, as we bring and share our beloved Christmas dishes that represent our diverse cultures and traditions ( so yes thats ‘pigs in blankets’ for us Brits!!).
As we wont have kitchen space to make food on site we are asking everyone to bring their food pre- prepared in its own container. We do have warming draws for some food but assume you will need to prepare food that can be eaten at room temperature.
The plan
On arrival to the 9:30am meeting there will be tables set up at the back downstairs where you can place your food ( we’ll have spare clingfilm etc! )
After the meeting we will clear the downstairs ( coffee will be served in the foyer and balcony will remain open). and then once tables are set up we will invite everyone in for a bit of pre meal entertainment before we eat together!
After food and chats we’ll wrap up about 1pm
Anyone who doesn’t have to dash off we’ll commandeer to help with the auditorium reset ( for our Christmas Day meeting thats next in the diary!)
We will have paper plates and wooden cutlery but if you’d like to help the planet out please bring your own and take back home to wash.
If you don’t think you are able to bring food along please don’t feel you are excluded- we are sure there will be more than enough!
We will be able to leave our cars in the College car park so no need to move them after the meeting.
