The Summer of connecting and building continues - 21st Aug 2026
(2 minute read)
I hope you’re successfully having times of rest and recreation this Summer! As we head into the second half of August, here’s what’s been happening this week around the building work, as well as what is coming up this week in church life.
What has been happening this week with the building project?
Another really productive week on site with multiple areas of progress across the Auditorium and 1st floor.
The partition wall between the Auditorium and Lounge area is plastered and now just awaiting final decoration.
Space for the underfloor heating controls and manifolds is complete and awaiting decoration.
A potential structural problem on the 1st floor offices has been temporarily fixed, with a long-term solution now agreed with the structural engineer.
The Kerith Production Team have begun designing the new stage and AV layouts, ready to start moving back in during September.
What's happening next week at church?
Sunday 23rd August - ‘Extend the Table’ Sunday.
This Sunday is our next ‘Extend the Table’ Sunday. On these days we are encouraging everybody to connect with others in your own way. This may be anything from choosing to watch Kerith Online from 10am in your own living room, to grabbing a coffee or a walk with friends - why not connect with those you wouldn’t normally spend time with?
Thursday 27th August - Prayer Meeting
We are continuing our weekly prayer meeting for the building project and the community online (via Zoom) from 7pm for 30 minutes. Tap here to sign up and receive the zoom link, and join us.
Looking ahead…
Sunday 30th August - Prayer Walk Pilgrimage – meet at Chalk in the Park Café at 10am. We will meet at the Chalk in the Park Cafe at 10am and then walk around the wooded area of the country park. Some of the prayer-based activities we will do are: Pebble painting, scavenger hunt in a matchbox, leaving peddles for others to find, ‘blowing bubble’ blessings. We will end up back at the Chalk Cafe where we'll enjoy coffee/refreshments and the play area. Intrigued? Tap HERE to sign up (so we can plan for numbers).
Sunday 6th September - Celebration Sunday – this will be held at our Kerith Bracknell church building, but is for our Farnborough congregation - from 4-5pm. Read more and sign up HERE to let us know you're coming.

God Bless you this week.
