Celebrating a New Season in Gunville and CAP

Launch Sunday!

I just wanted to say thank you for making Sunday such a special Launch Celebration! It was fantastic to celebrate together – hopefully the ice cream and bouncy castles brought some extra joy too! It was a brilliant way to mark a significant moment as we officially start meeting at Gunville, and to invite the community to come and say hi! Although we didn't have lots turning up, we know at least one person came because they received a flyer. Let's continue to pray for Gunville, and that more would come along and encounter Jesus!

I loved Simon's message on Sunday when he mentioned Zechariah 4:6 – 'Not by might, nor power, but by my Spirit declares the Lord.'

We don't need buildings or influence or power, but God's Spirit. His presence. That's how he will bring transformation in this community. His presence is found not in a building, but in a person, Jesus. And His Spirit in us.

So let's continue to seek Jesus, and pray for his blessing on that community, that many would come into the Family of God as they encounter Jesus. Amen!

CAP Celebration

We also then had a great time in the evening celebrating a new season of the Christians Against Poverty Debt Centre, which we partner with 4 other churches on the Island to run. We prayed for and commissioned the team, including our very own Rhoda as the Service Team Leader, and celebrated 6 clients going debt-free in the last 18 months. Thank you, Jesus! We're excited to see him do more through this brilliant team! Please keep praying for them. And if you'd like to get involved… we're looking for more befrienders who go to client meetings with the team and walk with the clients on their journey.
